Exercise has been proven to be a great stress reliever. Once you workout you will feel much more relaxed and when you’re more relaxed you are able to think with a more logical mind. Stress is bad for your body in a number of ways, including that it pushes you to indulge temptations as a momentary relief from stress. But that relief is short lived, especially compared to the relief that exercise can give you. The more weight on your body, the more stress you’re putting on your joints. The more stress there is on your joints, the more your joints will hurt. Joint pain is no fun, and when your joints hurt it makes it extremely hard to work out. But if you lose some weight then your joints will thank you by alleviating all the pain. Once the pain is gone, then you will be much more willing to hit the gym or go for a hike. So lose some weight to give your knees a break.
