Weight Loss Tips From People Who Lost 30+ Lbs For Good

Losing weight is tough! Most people lose three pounds then they gain five. You do so much to lose a little weight and then you do so little to gain it all back. Who are these jerks that manage to lose weight and keep it off? What is their problem? How do they do it? What is their secret?

Well good news, we chatted with some of these people and by chatted we mean we interrogated them until they divulged all of their secrets. So take these tips and run with them…literally!

How Do They Lose Weight? They Eat Less

What? Eating less means you lose weight? What a groundbreaking weight loss article!

Wait, it’s not just about eating less and starving yourself. The lesson here is to eat good calories, not bad calories. For instance, if you eat 100 calories of carrots you will feel much fuller than if you eat 100 calories of taffy. There, does that make sense? These weight loss freaks don’t count calories as much as they learn to control their portion sizes. There are things called portion containers that can help you figure out how much food you should eat. Just don’t stuff them full of taffy because not only is taffy full of bad calories but it’s also really hard to pull out of a container.

They Eat Often

Finally some good news! The best way to lose weight and keep it off is to eat more often.

But wait, put the taffy down. This doesn’t mean eating whatever you want all day long. These people tend to eat five times a day, three meals and two snacks, all of it healthy. (Read no taffy.) Eating more often helps with hunger pangs, just make sure you keep the food healthy and your two snacks don’t turn into full on meals.

No Cheat Days

Consistency is key, and no we’re not talking about the consistency of food because then we would be indulging your insatiable taste for taffy. Those who stick to a consistent diet whether it’s weekends or weekdays tend to keep the weight off. So this means no binging on the weekends. Pick a diet and stick to it.

They Munch in the Mornings

That’s right, turns out breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. Make sure your breakfast has a nice balance of protein, fat, and carbs and you will start off your day on the right foot. If you make a good decision at breakfast, the odds are you’ll make a good decision at lunch time and your momentum will keep on rolling.

They Workout Every Day

Yup they exercise for about an hour every day. No, pulling taffy does not count. Make hitting the gym every day a priority and not only will you lose weight but it will help you be more productive, happier and sleep better.

They Rarely Netflix & Chill

That’s right, most people who lose weight and keep it off tend to watch about ten hours or less of television per week.  Bummer, I know, but odds are if you’re watching TV then you’re not doing anything else, like exercising or reading our articles. Plus, watching TV all day usually leads to mindless eating which is a great way to expand that waistline. So stick to the gym like that taffy is currently sticking to your teeth.
