Try These 5 Yoga Poses To Ditch That Belly Fat

But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t feel bad about wanting to lose a little fat here and there. And your belly is one of the most common places fat tends to congregate. Thankfully the five yoga poses presented in this article are easy ways to help ditch that belly fat!

COBRA POSE

This pose specifically targets that belly pooch. Here’s how you should go about it:
1) Lie facedown on the floor with your legs stretched out straight behind you.
2) Put your hands on the mat, just under your shoulders.
3) Take a nice, slow breath inward as you straighten your arms, lifting yourself up.
4) Hold that position for about 30 seconds.
5) Then slowly drop back down to the mat as you exhale.
Repeat this five times.

BOW POSE

This pose is great for your core overall. Here are the steps:
1) Lie facedown on the mat with your arms at your side.
2) Bend your knees, bring your feet upward, and grab your ankles.
3) As you inhale, lift your head and bend back as far as you can while lifting your legs as high as you can as well.
4) Hold that position for about 30 seconds.
5) On your exhale, slowly bring your body back to your original position.
Repeat this five times.

 

BOAT POSE

This pose specifically targets the fat around your waist. Here’s how to do it:
1) Lie down on your back with your legs stretched out and your arms at your side.
2) On an inhale, lift your legs, keeping them straight.
3) Point your toes out as far as you can.
4) Raise your arms out to meet your legs at the knee and make a 45-degree angle with your body.
5) Hold this for about 15 seconds.
6) Slowly lower your body back to the mat as you exhale.
Repeat this five times.

PLANK

This is the most effective yoga pose to help fight belly fat. Here’s how it goes:
1) Start on your hands and knees with your hands right under your shoulders and your knees right under your hips.
2) Step your feet back, one at a time, fully extending your legs.
3) Tilt your head up straight until your spine is aligned. 
4) Flex your abdominal muscles and hold this for about 30 seconds.
5) Drop back to your knees when done.
Repeat this five times.

WIND RELIEVING POSE

This pose helps your metabolism work harder for you. Here are the steps:
1) Lie down on your back with your arms at your side.
2) On an exhale, bring your knees to your chest and wrap your arms around your legs, holding them in place.
3) On another exhale, bring your chin up to meet your knees.
4) Hold this pose for 90 seconds if you can.
5) Slowly release your knees and return to your original position as you exhale.
Repeat this five times.
