A healthy breakfast is important

Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but that doesn’t mean you can eat whatever you want for breakfast. You need to keep breakfast simple and healthy, so no breakfast burritos with waffles and whipped cream on the side. Instead, start your day off with oatmeal or egg whites. Eating nutritious food in the morning will help with those mid-morning cravings that have you reaching for a pre-lunch donut or bag of chips.

Not only will eating a healthy breakfast cut down on your breakfast calories, but it will completely take away your cravings so your snacking habits will become a thing of the past.

 

 

Black coffee only

If you’re adding cream to your coffee, you’re also adding calories. You know there are some coffee drinks that are more like milkshakes than coffees, but even a latte adds serious calories when compared to straight black coffee. You don’t only have to watch out for the milk in those drinks, because there is usually an excessive amount of sugar in there as well, which if you don’t know, excess sugar is not what you want if you’re trying to lose weight. Oh and if you think almond milk is better, it’s not, usually the milk alternatives at your cafes are packed with sugar as well. So black is always going to be better for you because there’s simply less stuff in it.

 

Kick soda to the curb

Yes, soda is delicious and bubbly but it’s also the reason your body is becoming bubbly and not-so-delicious. If you’re trying to lose weight then tell that soda to take a hike and drink water instead. Even diet colas have been linked to having negative effects on your body. Carbonated water makes a great soda alternative and is an easy way to take soda completely out of your diet. Many come in great flavors, such as mango or Pamplemousse (French or grapefruit.) If you drink a soda every day you’re putting seven pounds of sugar in your body every year. That’s no good.

 

 

Rice and pasta out, veggies in

While your body does need some carbs, there are smart ways to get those carbs and then there are a lot of easy ways to not be smart with your carbs. Try eating broccoli instead of linguine and watch the pounds melt away. Vegetables are higher in fiber and vitamins and still contain the necessary carbs your body craves. There are even great ways to make zucchini into noodles these days or cauliflower pizza crusts. If you follow those recipes you won’t even hardly notice how healthy you’re eating.
